Day 01 Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred to hotel.
Overnight in Delhi.
Day 02 Fly Delhi-Leh (11,480 ft.)
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Transfer to airport for flight to Leh. Welcome in traditional and cultural Ladakhi style and transfer to the hotel, which has been booked for you. Rrest of the day at leisure to acclimatize.
Evening visit Shanti Stupa. A magnificent white-domed structure, The Japanese for World Peace built the Shanti Stupa, at Changspa, on the hilltop, and was inaugurated by Dalai Lama in 1985.This is truly a sight for sore eyes! Its state of the art work attracts a lot of people to Ladakh and is spectacular to watch. From there you can see the nice, spectacular view of Leh town.

Day 03 Excursion to Shey, Thiksey & Hemis.

Today you will take a tour to Indus Valley monastery, which includes a visit to Shey ,the ancient capital of Ladakh. The monastery here has a huge gold-gilded statue of Buddha Sakyamuni with a large silver lamp burning in front of the statue, built in the memory of King Singee Namgyal by his son Deldan Namgyal in 1633 A.D.
Then visit Thiksey Gompa an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a nice hill above the village. The monastery has a beautiful 30 m high gold-plated statue of Maitreya Buddha, the Buddha of the future is one of the most beautiful and impressive monasteries of Ladakh,.
Drive further to visit the famous Hemis Gompa, This is the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Most of the other Drukpa monasteries are the branch monasteries of Hemis. It was built during early 17th century with the blessing of Lama Stagtsang Raspa (Shambunatha), by famous Namgyal dynasty king Singee Namgyal.
Drive back to hotel.

Day 04 Overland Leh-Stok & Hike to Stok Gorge

Morning drive to Stok and visit Stok Palace, which is located 15 kms. south of Leh. The castle was built on a hill at the end of village in about the year 1825 by King Tsespal Tondup Namgyal. In Stok, there is also the sacred monastery of Gurphug, a branch of Spituk Monastery.
Take a hike to beautiful Stok George. Later drive back to Leh.
Overnight Leh.
Day 05 Drive Leh-Pangong (14,000 ft.)
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Leave for Pangong Lake through Changla pass (17,585 ft.). While ascending Changla pass, enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to the western shore of the lake.
Pangong Lake, located at 14,000 ft. has a long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130 km long. It is bisected by the international border between India and China.
Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to the beautiful nature and the environment. The scenery is truly unforgettable.

Day 06 Drive Pangong-Leh

Morning at leisure to explore the beauty of lake and later drive back to Leh and check in at our hotel.

Day 07 Drive Leh-Nubra Valley ( 10,000 ft.)

Drive to Nurbra Valley, through Khandrung La Pass (18,390 ft.), the highest motorable road in the world, which is , about 39 kms from Leh. From the pass, you can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar. It's located to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas.
Nubra lies at and altitude of about 10,000 - ft. above the sea level and is drained largely by the Shiyok River. The Siachen River forms its single largest tributary.
First visit Sumur, another pretty village on the other side of the river. Visit Samstanling Gompa, which was was founded by Lama Tsultims Nima and Monastic community and introduced as Rezong Gonpa. About 50 monks are residing at this 132 years old Monastery.
Dinner and overnight in camp at Nubra Valley.
Day 08 Drive Nubra Valley-Leh
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Morning visit Sand Dunes. Today you have an opportunity to enjoy a camel safari at Sand Dunes. This is an optional tour which is not included in the tour cost.
Drive back to Leh passing through Khardung La.
Afternoon at leisure for rest and relax or last day shopping in the local market.
Overnight at Leh.
Day 09 Fly Leh-Delhi and connect your flight to U.S. or extension

Transfer to domestic airport for flight to Delhi.

- Are the trip and price guaranteed?
The trip is guaranteed even with the sign-up of the minimum of two people. The price shown with departure date is also guaranteed once you send us a trip application form with a deposit of $350.00. Otherwise, it may change until we receive the trip applications form. - What is internal air?
There are flights involved in the trip. Internal Air is the flights between one city/place to another during the trip. Since the airfares keep changing, we do not include this in the land cost. - Can you arrange my flights from/to U.S.?
Yes, we can arrange your flights from/to U.S. We can match the online airfare, if not lower one. You just need to email us your full name as appears on the passport and departure city in U.S. We will then send you a quote for the flight. To issue the ticket, we just need your credit card details. - How soon do I book the trip?
The sooner you book, the better it is, because getting lower airfare from U.S. is higher when you book well in advance. Also, it is hard to get seats on some of the internal flight if it is closer to departure date. You can usually make the international flight reservation nine months prior to your departure date. - Do I need visa, permit & entrance fees?
India visa once the trip is booked. All the other permits and entrance fees are included in the trip. - What about the weather?
Summer is the best time to travel for this trip. The weather generally stays nice and not cold upon in Ladhak, and the chance of rain is very low in May. - When do I need to pay?
At the time of booking, you need to send us $ 350.00 deposit with a trip application form. $ 1000 is due 3 months prior to departure, and balance is due 2 months prior to departure. For the internal flight, you may need to pay about 5-6 months as we need to issue the tickets to secure the flight seats. - How big are the groups?
Our groups are usually small, so you get the personalized services from local guides. There must be minimum of 2 people to run the trip and the maximum is 10 people in the group. - How difficult is the trip?
This is an adventurous trip. Because of the altitude in Ladhak, the is considered as moderate trip. The average altitude in Ladhak is 10,000 ft, which may cause altitude sickness for some. We recommend you to consult with your physician if you have experienced a problem in the altitude before. You have to physically fit to do this trip. - Do I need travel insurance & where I purchase it?
We strongly recommend you to purchase the travel insurance which protects you, in case if you had to cancel the trip or other reasons like flight delay, flight cancellation, and medical evacuation. Once you book the trip, we can send you a Travel Insurance Quote. You can either buy through the link we send you or from your choice of other insurance companies. - What about accommodations, meals & upgrade?
You will be staying in simple, comfortable accommodation with attached bath. Your breakfast, lunch and dinner are included except in Delhi. If you like to upgrade it to higher end hotels, that is also possible with additional price. - What about guide, drivers and travel during the period?
We provide experienced driver and English speaking local guides during the tour. You will be traveling in comfortable private Car or van or mini bus with driver/guide depending on the number of people in the group. - What should I pack?
We will email you a packing list once you book the trip with us. We mail you the final information packet 2-3 months prior to departure. You will find the all relevant information including confirmed hotels, local contact details, domestic flight info, and packing list as well. - Can I extend my trip?
Yes, you can extend your trip to other parts in India, Nepal or Bhutan. You may like to inform this at the time of booking the trip, should you book the international flight with us. We would be happy to arrange your extension as well. - Can we make this as a private trip on our own date?
