Highlights of the visit include the mirror palace, winter palace, summer palace, and more. You'll have the opportunity to ascend the fort's ramparts on the back of an elephant.
During the return journey to the city, make a brief stop at Jal Mahal, a duck hunting reserve of the erstwhile rulers. Also, pause at Hawa Mahal en route to the fort. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap, Hawa Mahal, or the Palace of Winds, is a five-story façade in red sandstone with 953 small windows. Originally constructed to allow palace ladies to observe street life without being seen, it has since become an emblem of Jaipur.
