Begin your tour by visiting the hustling and bustling capital city of Bangladesh. Continue to Tangail and visit school, experience the local rural lifestyle, natural dyeing process in the village.

Continue to Srimongol and visit Lawacherra Forest and Tribal village. Return to Dhaka, and enjoy your rest of the tour before returning home.

 
 

Day 01 Arrive Dhaka & tour of the city
MEAL: Dinner

Upon arrival at the airport in Dhaka, you will be met and transferred to hotel.  

If time permits, visit the local vegetable market places, National parliament building complex from outside, crafts shops, Rickshaw ride & taste local tea at street side tea stalls.

Overnight at Dhaka

Day 02 Dhaka - Sreemangal.
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

After breakfast, drive to Sremangal (4 hrs / 170 km), en-route visit Sonargaon, the old capital of Bengal. Sonargaon means golden city, 27 km to the east of Dhaka city, which was the capital of Bengal from 13th to early 17th century during the Chandra and Deva dynasty.

Later in the afternoon, visit the Tea gardens & Khasia Tribal villages. 

Back to the hotel in the evening.

Day 03 Sreemangal
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

After breakfast, explore Lawachara forest and drive to Kamalgonj (20 km / 1 hour), a Khastia tribal village and Tripura village.

 Afternoon visit Monipuri weaving village and enjoy a cup of seven layer tea.

Overnight at Sreemangal.

Day 04 Sreemangal
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

After an early breakfast start journey towards Tangail (200 km / 5 hours), en-route visit village market.

Arrive in Tangail in the afternoon and check in to hotel.

Later  in the afernoon explore village houses & hand loom.

Day 05 Tangail
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

After breakfast  checkout and some more activities in around Tangail.  Then drive to Dhaka (75 km / 2.5hrs). 

On your way to Dhaka, visit  “Kakran” Pottery village. Most of the people of this village were Potters, when the people used to  use pots & utensils made from clay a lot.  Now only few families are still trying to hold this profession for their living.  Also visit “Dhamrai” metal craft village  where almost everyone of this villagers were metal craftsman and they used to work with brass. These craftsmen have been in this trade for the last hundreds of years and supplied their crafts to greater India with statues for temples and utensils for homes and decoration. 

Arrive in Dhaka.

Day 06 Dhaka & tour around Dhaka
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

After Breakfast, walking tour at Old part of Mughal City Dhaka (04-05 KM ). Enjoy the 400 years old city, the lifestyle of the dwellers and other places along with Rickshaw ride & taste local tea at street side tea stalls. Visit Sadarghat (Water-Front), Star Mosque (19th century), Armenian Church (17th century), Dhakeshwari Temple (12th century), Ahsan Manzil (1859), Shakhari Bazaar (Hindu Street) and the oldest neighborhood in the city.

Overnight in Dhaka.

Day 07 Dhaka - U.S. or an exntension

Transfer to airport and fly back home or extend your trip to India, Bhutan, Nepal, Thailand or Myanmar.

    • Are the trip and price guaranteed?
      The trip is guaranteed even with the sign-up of the minimum of two people. The price shown is also guaranteed once you send us a trip application form with a deposit of $350.00. Otherwise, it may change until we receive the trip applications form.
    • Can you arrange my flights from/to U.S.?
      Yes, we can arrange your flights from/to U.S. We can match the online airfare, if not lower one. You just need to email us your full name as appears on the passport and departure city in U.S. We will then send you a quote for the flight.
    • How soon do I book the trip?
      The sooner you book, the better it is, because getting lower airfare from U.S. is higher when you book well in advance. You can usually make the international flight reservation nine months prior to your departure date.
    • Do I need visa, permit & entrance fees?
      Yes, you need a visa for Bangladesh, which you can obtain though Bangladesh Embassy in U.S. or you may get one upon arrival at the airport in Dhaka. All the other permits and entrance fees are included in the trip.
    • What about the weather?
      The cool and comfortable time is in dry season from November to February.
    • When do I need to pay?
      At the time of booking, you need to send us $ 350.00 deposit with a trip application form. $ 1000 is due 3 months prior to departure, and balance is due 2 months prior to departure
    • How big are the groups?
      Our groups are usually small, so you get the personalized services from local guides. There must be minimum of 2 people to run the trip and the maximum is 10 people in the group.
    • How difficult is the trip?
      This is an easy trip. However, you have to be physically fit to do the tour. You will be spending from around 8 AM to 4 PM touring around, going from one place to another taking drive and enjoying the nature and world famous monuments/heritage sites, and experiencing the local culture and way of life in Bangladesh.
    • Do I need travel insurance & where I purchase it?
      We strongly recommend you to purchase the travel insurance which protects you, in case if you had to cancel the trip or other reasons like flight delay, flight cancellation, and medical evacuation. Once you book the trip, we can send you a Travel Insurance Quote. You can either buy through the link we send you or from your choice of other insurance companies.
    • What about accommodations, meals & upgrade?
      You will be staying in a comfortable accommodation with attached bath. Your breakfast is always included. Lunch and dinner are not included. A decent meal will cost you about $ 10-15 in tourist class restaurant. If you like to upgrade it to higher end hotels, that is also possible with additional price.
    • What about guide, drivers and travel during the period?
      We provide experienced driver and English speaking accompanying guide during the tour. You will be traveling in comfortable private Car or van or mini bus with driver/guide depending on the number of people in the group.
    • Can I extend my trip?
      Yes, you can extend your trip to other parts of India, Nepal or Bhutan or destinations in Asia. You may like to inform this at the time of booking the trip, should you book the international flight with us. We would be happy to arrange your extension as well.
    • Can we make this as a private trip on our own date?
      Yes, we can arrange this trip as a private trip on your own date. However, the price will be higher.
