Day 01 Arrive Nairobi.

Upon arrival at the airport in Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to hotel New Stanley Sarova hotel which is one of the three hotels in the entire continent to be listed in the Summit Hotels in the World, a prestigious honor based both on the highest of standards and on the venue's culture. The hotel is located at the center of the city.

Overnight at Nairobi.

Day 02 Full day Excursion in Nairobi
MEAL: Breakfast

After breakfast full day excursions in Nairobi with visits to David Sheldrick Wildlife trust, Giraffe Centre which is  located in Lang'ata, 15 kilometers from the center of Nairobi, Kenya. It was established in order to protect the endangered Rothschild giraffe, Giraffe Camelopardalis Rothschild that is found only in the grasslands of East Africa.

Continue to Karen Blixen Museum, located 10 km outside of Nairobi,  at the foot of the Ngong Hills.  It's  is the former African home of Danish author Karen Blixen, famous for her book "Out of Africa" which chronicles life at the estate.

Overnight in Nairobi.

Day 03 Drive to Amboseli National Park
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

After breakfast drive to South of Nairobi to Amboseli National Park which is  265 km (3h 30 min drive). It's  known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. Observation Hill offers panoramas of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps. Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species. The western section is dominated by vast Lake Amboseli, which is dry when it's not rainy season.

Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive followed by dinner and overnight at Lodge.

Day 04 Amboseli National Park
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Early Morning games drive with visit to a Maasai village, back to the lodge for lunch.

Afternoon Game drive within Amboseli National Park, home to wild animals, which include the African elephant, buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffes, zebra, and wildebeest among other African animals.

Dinner & overnight at Lodge.

Day 05 Drive to Tanzania Border, and continue to Arusha.
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

After breakfast drive to Kenya and Tanzania border which is 80 km (1h 30 min  drive). At Namanga where you will meet Tanzania Driver Guide and exchange vehicles. After clearance with both customs, drive to Arusha hotel for lunch, another 1 hour 30 min drive.

Afternoon at leisure. 

Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 06 Ngorogoro Crater - Lake Ndutu & Lake Masek
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro crater, a protected area, and a  World Heritage Site, located  180 km (3h 30 min) west of Arusha in the Crater Highlands  area of Tanzania. The area is named after  a large volcanic  caldera  within the area and afternoon visit Olduvai Gorge  means "the place of the wild sisal", or Sansevieria in Maasai.  

Continue further, twenty-five kilometers downstream to Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek, the gorge cuts into Pleistocene Lake bed sediments  up to a depth of 90 m. A side gorge, originating from Lemagrut Mountain, joins the main gorge 8 km from the mouth. This side gorge follows the shoreline of a prehistoric lake, rich in fossils and early man sites.  Volcanic ash from Olmoti and Kerimasi ensure preservation of the fossils.

Day 07 Game drive in Ngorongoro
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

After breakfast, full day game drive in Ngorongoro crater with picnic lunch boxes. This is the home to the vast, volcanic and “big 5” game (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino). Huge herds of wildebeests and zebras traverse its plains during their annual migration. Livestock belonging to the semi-nomadic Maasai tribe graze alongside wild animals.

Evening drive back to Ngorongoro Farm House for dinner and overnight.

Day 08 Drive to Serengeti National Park
MEAL: Breakfast/lunch/Dinner

After breakfast drive to vast plains of Serengeti National Park with game drive en route. Arrive for early lunch located in northern Tanzania, also known for its massive annual millions migration of wildebeests and zebras.

Seeking new pasture, the herds move north from their breeding grounds in the grassy southern plains.

Afternoon game drive. 

Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Kubukubu Tented camp. 

Day 09 Game drive to Serengeti National Park

Morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park.

Even without the great migration, the park sports the densest lion population in the world and is home to all members of the Big Five and almost 500 bird species. The Serengeti fits well into most people’s dream of an African safari with its abundant wildlife, vast golden plains dotted with thorny umbrella acacia trees, kopjes, and sausage trees, and its crocodile and hippo-filled rivers,

Day 11 Game drive in Masai Mara Game Reserve
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Morning and afternoon game viewing drives in the  reserve which is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers.

The area nearby is dotted with villages (Enkangs) of Maasai people.

Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Safari Lodge. 

Day 12 Maasai Mara Game Reserve
MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Optional Balloon safari tours ( which you can book and pay $ 500 directly at front desk) in lift off at dawn (06:15) after coffee and a flight briefing. The one hour flight will give you a bird’s eye view of the best East Africa has to offer in the magnificent setting of the Great Rift Valley.

After you land, a champagne breakfast in the bush adds to the buzz you will get from the early morning air and the sights and sounds that only an eagle ever see.

Full day game drive in the reserve with picnic Lunch boxes.

Back to the lodge late evening for dinner and overnight at Mara Serena lodge

Day 13 Maasai Mara- Nairobi-U.S.
MEAL: Breakfast

After breakfast drive back to Nairobi  (6 hrs)  and  arriving in time for lunch on your own.

Afternoon at leisure. We provide you day use room at Ole Sereni.

Evening transfer to Jomo Kenyatta international airport for your flight back home.

    • Are the trip and price guaranteed?
      The trip is guaranteed even with the sign-up of the minimum of four people. The price shown with departure date is guaranteed once you send us a trip application form with a deposit of $350.00. Otherwise, it may change until we receive the trip applications form.
    • Can you arrange my flights from/to U.S.?
      Yes, we can arrange your flights from/to U.S. We can match the online airfare, if not lower one. You just need to email us your full name as appears on the passport and departure city in U.S. We will then send you a quote for the flight. To issue the ticket, we just need your credit card details.
    • How soon do I book the trip?
      The sooner you book, the better it is, because getting lower airfare from U.S. is higher when you book well in advance. You can usually make the international flight reservation nine months prior to your departure date.
    • Do I need visa, permit & entrance fees?
      You need a visa for Kenya and Tanzania, which you you get upon arrival. However, it's recommended that you get the visa before you leave U.S. All the permits and national park entrance fees are included in the trip.
    • What about the weather in November?
      The weather is pleasant in November, with average temperature of 78 f. The chances of the rain is low. You will see the animals in large numbers. Also, it's less crowded during the during period.
    • When do I need to pay?
      At the time of booking, you need to send us $ 350.00 deposit with a trip application form. $ 1000 is due 3 months prior to departure, and balance is due 2 months prior to departure.
    • How big are the groups?
      Our groups are usually small, so you get the personalized services from local guides. There must be minimum of 4 people to run the trip and the maximum is 10 people in the group.
    • How difficult is the trip?
      This is an easy to moderate trip. However, you have to be physically fit to do this trip. You will be spending from morning to late afternoon going on Safari most of the days or drive from one place to another.
    • Do I need travel insurance & where I purchase it?
      We strongly recommend you to purchase the travel insurance which protects you, in can if you had to cancel the trip or other reasons like flight delay, flight cancellation, and medical evacuation. Once you book the trip, we can send you a Travel Insurance Quote. You can either buy through the link we send you or from your choice of other insurance companies.
    • What about accommodations, meals & upgrade?
      You will be staying in nice, comfortable accommodation with attached bath. All the meals are included while you are on the trip. If you like to upgrade it to top end hotel in the national park, that is also possible with additional price.
    • What about guide, drivers and travel during the period?
      We provide experienced English speaking driver cum guide. You will be traveling in four wheel drive.
    • What should I pack?
      We will email you a packing list once you book the trip with us. We mail you the final information packet 2-3 months prior to departure. You will find the all relevant information including confirmed hotels, local contact details, and packing list as well.
    • Can we make this as a private trip on our own date?
      Yes, we can arrange this trip as a private trip on your own date. However, the price will be higher.
