TREKKING IN THE HIMALAYAS
There is perhaps no place on earth quite like trekking in the Himalayans for adventure. It is a different outdoor adventure that offers not just the magnificent view of the world's highest mountains but to be immersed in nature in its pristine state that will capture you beyond your wildest imagination. Nowhere will you encounter a greater diversity of people and culture more varied than in the Himalayas. You will meet people in remote mountain villages whose lifestyle has remained unchanged for generations. Their warm hospitality and sincere smiles on their faces reflect genuine happiness despite living in simple conditions.
Trekking in Nepal in the outlying regions provides the best way to see the country. Nepal trekking covers a vast area of the country including not just the Himalayas but also the foothills and the lower regions. The trekking season in Nepal is from October to May, when the climate is at its best; before or after the monsoon season. The best months to trek is between October and November when the weather condition is ideal.
Trekking in Bhutan is mostly in the northern part of the country and some along the foothill region. Although both Bhutan and Nepal are situated in the Himalayas you will find trekking is different mostly due to geographical conditions, The hillsides are steeper, have deeper canyons and fewer farms and villages. Trekking season in Bhutan is from October to May, and the best time is in spring when rhododendrons, magnolias and other spring flowers are in full bloom.
Trekking in Tibet of is more physically demanding and strenuous so before embarking be well prepared mentally and physically to take up the challenge of high altitude walking in rugged country. The trekking season in Tibet is from May to September, and the summer months being the best time of the season when the weather is warm. Remarkable thing about Tibet trekking, considering the obstacles imposed by Chinese authorities, is once out in the far reaches trekkers enjoy good degdree of freedom to explore. This offers a rare opportunit to visit places most likely impossibly to attain by normal channels.
