Experience one of the marvellous engineering feats of our age taking the train
across the Tibetan plateau, through some of the highest, coldest and most
forbidding real estate on the planet. After a few days of sightseeing tour in
Beijing and Xian, whose history began 7000 years ago, take a train from Xining,
a part of Silk route to Lhasa. Spend a few days visiting some of the Buddhist
Cultural sites and then off to Everest Base Camp and finally to Kathmandu, a
medieval city.
