Dhamshung Festival & Bird Sanctuary

This trip allows you to get a more “hands on” experience of Tibet with a festival of Dhamshung. The horse racing which is held here is similar to Gyangtse horse racing. However, these are performed by the local nomads and at the same time you can enjoy the great view of “Sea of Tents”. Enjoy the local dance at night with the camp fire. Besides the festival, it is designed to show you more of this fascinating land and her people. After the festival your journey will begin back to Kathmandu via Gyangtse, Xigatse, Tingri, Nyalam and Zhangmu. The distance covered is nearly 621 miles / 1000 km on four wheel drive vehicles and bus
