Take an overland drive to Manali and continue to Keylong via Rohtang pass. Continue to Leh enjoying the spectacular scenery.

Day 01 Arrival Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred to hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 02 Delhi-Pathankot-Dharamshala (O/N Train) (Breakfast)
Breakfast. Tour of New Delhi: India’s capital and an important gateway into the country. Visit Lutyen’s Delhi-drive past President’s palace and also known as Rashtrapati Bhawan, India gate, a World War I memorial. Lutyen’s city is characterized by wide, tree-lined avenues, parks and palaces built for important Indian Princes.
Evening on time transfer to the railway station for train to Pathankot- 2125 Hrs. on 2tier AC sleeper Jammu Mail. Overnight on board.
Day 03 Arrival Pathankot-Dharamshala (Breakfast)
Arrival Pathankot at 0720 Hrs. Meet and drive to Dharamshala (approx 2 Hrs.). Arrive Dharamshala and check-in to hotel.
Afternoon walk around the narrow alleyways of McLeodganj exploring local market which has collection of Tibetan garments and handicrafts. Also visit nearby St John Church where British viceroy Lord Elgin was buried.
Overnight in hotel.
Day 04 Dharamsala (Breakfast)
Breakfast. Day is free at leisure. Vehicle on disposal. Overnight in hotel.
Day 05 Dharamsala-Manali (Breakfast)
Breakfast. Drive to Manali (115 miles.). Arrive Manali and check-in to hotel. Overnight in hotel. The drive may take up to 8 hours.
Day 06 Manali (Breakfast)
Breakfast and hike to Hadimba Temple-is 1 mile walk from Manali is the famous Hadimba Devi temple. Maharaja Bahadur Singh built the present wooden pagoda-like temple in 1553 after earlier structures were burnt down by forest fires. Carvings of animals, plants and folk deities adorn the temple, while hunting trophies hang over its entrance. Later visit Roerich Gallery-(Closed on Monday) a fine old house displaying the artwork of eccentric Russian painter Professor Nikolai Roerich, who died in Naggar in 1947, and his son Svetoslav Roerich who died in Bangalore in 1993. Some original rooms can be viewed from outside windows.
Evening either walk around the mall or to get a more authentic flavor of the area , take half-hour walk from the Mall across the Manalsu Nala to reach the village of old Manali. The village has a ruined fort and a cluster of houses. According to popular belief it is here that Manu, The lawmaker lived around the 2nd century BC. His treatise, the ‘Manusmriti’ is the foundations of Hindu law and of the rigid caste system based on Varna or profession.

Day 07 Manali-Rohtang-Keylong (Breakfast/Dinner)
Morning drive to Keylong via Rohtang pass- the main pass opens only in summers and connects Kullu valley with Lahul and Spiti valley. Over the pass the road plummets down to Gramphu. Here the road splits northwest to the Lahaul Valley, Keylong and on to Leh, and Southeast down the southern Lahaul to the stunning Spiti Valley.
Arrive and check-in Hotel. Keylong, capital of Lahaul and Spiti. It is a reasonable good place to break a journey. (and acclimatize gradually then driving too much at one stretch)
Evening walk around local bazaars/village. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 08 Keylong-Jispa-Sarchu (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Breakfast. At leisure drive to Jispa-Darcha and proceed on the hair pin bends entering into the Higher Himalayan range. Reach the top of the gorge & head straight to Himmatnagar Cantonment. It is again unpaved stretch of the Patseo & ZinZing Bar hairpins bends, as you get closer to Suraj Tal the road & then ahead to Baralacha La pass (16000 feet. Descend down to Bharatpur and enter the gorge of Sarchu. Get out of the gorge after crossing the bridge and enter the Sarchu Plateau (13450 feet) with its windy factor playing a role & bringing down the temperature.
Rest of the day relax in Sarchu plateau. Dinner and overnight in fixed tents.
Day 09 Sarchu-Leh (Breakfast/Packed Lunch)
Breakfast. Early drive to Leh. Sarchu-Nakila Pass (25miles - 15500 feet)-Lachungla pass (8 miles -16450 feet). Lachungla Pass-Pang (12 miles - Cross Pang before 1200 noon as after traffic is not allowed) .Packed Lunch enroute.Pang- Tanglangla Pass (35 miles – 17580 feet)-Rumtse (18 miles) –Upshi (20 miles) –Karu (8 miles-Thikse Monastery (9 miles)-and finally to Leh (11 miles)
Arrive Leh and check – in to hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 10 Leh (Breakfast)
Breakfast. Later proceed for Indus Valley Monastery tour including Shey, The ancient capital of Ladakh, Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, Stok Palace & Sindhu Ghat.Visit of Shey and Thiksey from outside is good enough. Inside visit Hemis is better.
Drive further to- visit the famous Hemis Gompa, This is the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Most of the other Drukpa monasteries are the branch monasteries of Hemis. It was built during early 17th century with the blessing of Lama Stagtsang Raspa (Shambunatha), by famous Namgyal dynasty king Singee Namgyal.
Overnight in hotel.
Day 11 Leh-Khardungla Pass-Nubra Valley (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Breakfast. Drive to the word’s highest motorable road: Khardung La. At 18,380 feet the ride will take a few hours of climbing out of Leh. Capture the moment in your camera at the top, and then ride down into the beautiful Nubra Valley. After a surrealistic ride across a vast seabed, the road climbs into an hour’s worth of twisty canyon pavement.
Drive further to Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas.
Dinner and overnight in fixed tents.
Day 12 Nubra Valley-Leh (Breakfast)
Dreakfast. Drive back to Leh (130KM) at leisure and rest of the day is free. Explore local bazaars. Overnight in hotel.
Day 13 Leh-Pangong Lake (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Breakfast. Drive to Pangong Lake (appriox 06 Hrs.). through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet. A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China. A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance.
Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Evening at leisure.

Day 14 Pengong Lake-Leh (Breakfast)
Morning at leisure to explore the beauty of lake and later drive back to Leh. Rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 15 Leh-Delhi-Further destination (Breakfast)
Early breakfast and on time transfer to airport for flight to Delhi- 0810/0925 Hrs. Arrive Delhi and on time transfer to airport for flight to further destination.
