Nepal, Cambodia & Vietnam Customized Tour
Arun, You did a wonderful job — our trip was a complete success!! This was really because of the dependability of the guides — someone was there at every airport to meet us and without that we would have been lost — and because of their other general guiding skills — very well-informed about the area, very personally accessible so we had a chance to learn about them each and their own story, and very flexible and attentive to our needs and desires. Thank you so much for facilitating this wonderful experience. Please feel free to use my comments, with my
Myanmar and India
This is a fabulous tour company -- with great selection of guides, top-rated hotels, great restaurants and safe/secure transportation. We loved our time in Myanmar and India and look forward to going back for a longer stay next year. I highly recommend it. Marcia Jaffe, Bali Institute for Global Renewal
Children's International Dental Project, Myanmar
Third Eye took on the responsibility of setting up our dental mission to Myanmar. We have been doing dental mission since 1987 (see website www.dentalvolunteers.com), and this was one of the smoothest missions I have led. Everything from our guide, transportation, accommodation, in country travel, the venues we were able to work at and tours were all outstanding. They were very accommodating to our group and individuals to make sure the experience was glitch free. For me, it was the easiest mission I have put together, since I usually do the majority of the arrangements. I could not have done it
Highlights of Myanmar
I have always done my own itinerary since it's so much easier nowadays to do it on your own with the help of the internet; however, with the logistics in traveling from one city to another and finding different hotels in a country that just opened up, I finally tried a professional agency and I am so glad I did. Everything, I mean everything, from being picked up at the airport, checking in the hotel, checking into the airport was done by someone else. All I had to do was wake up at the appointed time and Wala! Presto! It's done.
Nepal and Bhutan
The two week trip through Nepal and Bhutan was very enjoyable. Arun was very responsive during the planning of the trip and worked very diligently to ensure the locations we wanted to visit and the time frame we could spend there worked out. The roads in Nepal take some getting used to but it is all part of the experience. The guide we had in Bhutan was fantastic and accommodations were very good. Once again the roads in Bhutan take some getting used to as well--specifically the mountain road going over the Pele La Pass. If rock slides, mud slides, boulder
India, Bhutan, Sikkim & Darjeeling
Dear Arun I am still relishing the memories of my travels on the Indian sub-continent which you arranged for me. Overall it was a great experience, so glad that I completed it. I would recommend it to anyone who has an adventuresome nature. Really enjoyed the small village between Agra and Jaipur where we spend the night in a tent and got to meet the local people. I was uncertain about that at first, but it proved to be one of the "highlights" of the entire trip. Looking ahead to another trip next year to Bali, Indonesia Does your company offer
India, Bhutan, Sikkim & Darjeeling
Hi Arun, We're almost at the end of this trip and so far so good. Just wanna thank you for arranging this trip, everything so far is going great. Awesome trip, great hotels and nice people, and again thank you so much. My best regards.
Volunteering in Nepal
Hi Arun Yes it went very well. It's certainly a unique experience and I would recommend it. The camp does need a little work there's no shade and the bathroom looks good they still working on the hot water cold water. Sometimes the water runs out living with two young Nepali was a bit of a challenge because I'm old and slow especially when you only have one bathroom. However they were very accommodating they're just young. They feed you a lot because their farming community it's certainly authentic experience
Highlights of Peru
Hi Arun, Sorry for my late response. It takes a while for life to get back to semi normal after traveling. Kaya and I loved our trip to Peru. What an amazing country, culture, history, people, food.... We enjoyed every minute of it including my altitude sickness. Our trip was so short I had no time to slowly get used to it. Kaya was in so much better shape. Our accommodations were great. All hotels were very neat, very clean with very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our guides specially Raul. He was so passionate and knowledgeable about his country's history.
Bhutan & Thailand Customized Tour
So all my clients and friends are home safe and had great adventures thanks to all of you. No one is sick, they are back to work and ready to plan their next adventure. You, your staff, the cooks, the horsemen all were very gracious, responsible, and compassionate to me and my clients. I already have 3 people that want to go to Bhutan so maybe next year you will see me again. Keep in touch and thanks again for a great trip to Bhutan.
What a fabulous tour from start to finish. We had excellent , knowledgeable guides, great accommodations and visited the top sites in Myanmar. We particularly loved Bagan and inle lake. An additional day in bagan would have been ideal. Internal flights went smoothly but be prepared for the very casual check in with no ID check. Lovely people, wonderful food, crafts and temples. See it now before it gets too commercial
Volunteering in Nepal
Hi Arun, We were told you were returning to Nepal for a visit, so if you are there now we hope youhave a good trip. Just wanted to write andthank you for organizing another great trip for us. The short tour of Nepal's major sites was great with good local guides, drivers, and accommodations. It was good to be back there again. But the highlight of the trip was certainly the time spent volunteering at the school in the village above Dhading. Our hosts, Mr. Shreshta and his assistant/translator Meri were outstanding - so warm, kind and helpful. We feel like we have
Arun is the man I turn to for independent travel arrangements in Asia. Through him I've had 5 trips to India in the past 4 years that included Sikkim, 2 trips to northern India visiting Dharamshala, Ladakh, and Srinagar, and 2 visits to Delhi. He also got my wife and I into Tibet for a 9 day trip at a time when other foreigners were being turned away. I just let Arun know what I want to do, and everything is easily arranged at a reasonable cost. It never matters to him whether the trip is long or short. His network
Everest Base Camp
Arun, What can I say…everything went better than expected. Our transfers were always spot on…Very courteous and attentive. We really couldn’t ask for more. The Kathmandu hotel was amazing with very friendly and accommodating staff. A haven in the wilderness. The one thing I must add though is a comment on our Sirdar/sherpa. Dawa Norbu Sherpa made the trip. He sets the standard to which I wish to emulate. Attentive and intelligent, this guy is a celebrity. Thanks, again for the arrangements… John
Myanmar is a great travel destination even for a budget traveller. I normally don't take tours but I really enjoyed the one offered by Arun Dali through Third Eye Travel We saw a lot, ate a lot, shopped a lot (and even for the nonshopper, the local shops had educational tours ... pressure free) and were pretty much happy a lot. The resorts and hotels that we lodged at were comfortable and of great value. We also had a different tour guide for each place we visited. Each guide had a particular strength that stood out that made our experience very
Eastern Tibet and Ganden Samye Trek
This trip began with a 3-day stay in the city of Xining, Qinghai Province, where we were taken by a local buddhist guide and driver to the Tibetan Medicine/Culture Museum, Qinghai Provincial Museum, Kumbum Monastery, and Qinghai Lake. All were worth visiting and are recommended. Qinghai Lake is enormous is size, and there are plenty of Chinese tourists there to share the experience with you! The overnight train trip from Xining to Lhasa was late on departure due to rain downpours elsewhere before arrival. Thus, we were not able to make any stops along the route, but the views out the
TIBET, NEPAL, BHUTAN
I've been to 105 countries, some on my own, some with Travel Companies, like Third Eye. And you were great, both under normal circumstances, and the extra normal ( Nepal's Earthquake). I don't think there are too many Travel Companies that could have reacted and offered assistance the way you did. I was really impressed and thankful for Third Ey Travel's leadership on this trip.Thanks.
Arun, you've done it again! The trip was amazing and exhausting, but we knew it would be. The guides were always on time and were very informative. They helped us through any changes we had and were very accommodating. Being kid-friendly with an eleven year-old boy helped a lot. The most amazing thing about the trip besides seeing the Taj Mahal was the hotels you were able to get for us to were in our budget. The Dawarika's hotel was truly a masterpiece. The Imperial in New Delhi was fabulous. People were looking at me strangely because of me walking around
Nawam Perehera, Sri Lanka
Dear Arun, Jim and I just returned from our third trip with Third Eye Travel that took us to the island nation of Sri Lanka. The Nawam Perehera festival parade on Day 2 in Colombo, with its elephants, dancers and drummers, was a cinematic and interesting Buddhist celebration that takes place on the Full Moon Day in February. As biologists, we particularly enjoyed our two 4x4 jeep safaris: one to lush and green Minneriya National Park (Day 4) where we saw an abundance of elephants up close and personal; the second to drier Yala National Park (Day 9) where we spotted
Dear Arun, I just returned from India and want to express to you and everyone in your office my gratitude. I had 9 wonderful days!!!! From the representatives, to the drivers, to the guides, everyone worked very hard to make thetrip interesting, smooth and comfortable. Thank you again. I will keep in touch with you for futur travels. Marie Rose Pujalte & Viviane Masseboeuf
Hello Arun I hope you are having a good holiday! Of course the trip was FANTASTIC! We just loved it.. The guides were wonderful. We especially enjoyed YuYu. She has so much joy, and her enthusiasm about Myanmar is contagious. We could not help but love everything that we saw with her. I also especially appreciated Mr. Win. He is more serious but so eager to teach us everything he knows. I learned tons from him! Win Win is so lovely that we could not help but love her. I would say generally that in all cases our guides were steeped,
Bhutan, India & Bangladesh Private Tour
Hi Arun, Good to hear from you. JoAnne and I both agree it was a fantastic trip. What we saw, what we did, your local reps were all great. You were wonderful and we thank you.
Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan
Arun specifically arranged for us to be part of the group trip for the first week only since we wanted to add Tibet to the beginning of our trip to Nepal. Everything worked beautifully and the pro-rated cost was very reasonable. Looking back, it would have been nearly impossible to have arranged China/Tibet, and overland to Kathmandu independently. The Guides were all professional, thorough and knowledgeable. I was surprised at how smoothly the trip went though I suspect the red-tape was endless behind the scenes. Our Tibetan guide was Pempa, who was incredibly knowledgeable, and very kind. And the Nepali guide
Dear Arun, For our second trip with Third Eye Travel, Jim and I chose the Discover Indonesia tour, which was a second success. Once again we had multiple guides and drivers, and once again your logistics were flawless, our contacts punctual. We did not travel to Indonesia for its beaches, but for its more interesting aspects: the people, the culture and the food. But the essence of Indonesia is definitely the people—gentle, kind, always smiling, and always welcoming pictures. All our accommodations on the three islands were superb, and we particularly enjoyed DusunJogja Village Inn on Java, with its fishpond entrance
Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan
Hi Arun, Overall, we had a great trip. All guides (and drivers for that matter) were excellent. Very friendly and good knowledge and very helpful when required. The Thagu Chhen Boutique Hotel in Bhaktapur was exceptional. We were both pretty good with the altitude, with the worst being a slight headache and no appetite for a day or two. The Snow Leopard at Old Tingri was not as bad as expected. We found the trip to Taktshang was taxing. Luckily we got horses up which was a good option for us. Many thanks for organising such a great trip, would recommend you and
Hello Arun, Larre and I just returned from a three week trip to India. The trip was well planned by you and flexible enough to meet our travel interests. As always, there were agents at the airports to pick us up, take us to our accommodations, and explain their services and our itinerary . The traffic in India is challenging and each driver had remarkable skills. We toured eight areas in five states. The guides were well informed and flexible. Again, thank you for providing excellent customized arrangements. Trip: Customized North India
We have just returned from our fabulous trip in India. From the hotels to the guides to the travel arrangements, our trip was perfectly planned for us. We saw everything we hoped and more with the help of knowledgeable guides and drivers. The pace of the trip was perfect and we felt safe at all times. Thanks to Arun for sending us on another perfectly executed adventure. We will remember it for years to come.
Family Tour Sri Lanka
Hi Arun, Just a quick thank you for your help with the trip. We enjoyed it and covered a lot of ground. It's a beautiful country. Interesting the highlight for the boys at least seems to have been the short stop at leopard trails. Take care and thanks again, Joy
Glimpse of China
Hi Arun, Thank you for the email. And thanks for arranging our tour to China. We had a wonderful time there. As you said, apart from the hotel in Beijing, the rest of the trip was quite pleasurable. China has so much to offer and we are glad we were able to cover quite a bit. Xian and Chengdu were really awesome. The Tang Dynasty dinner show in Xian was very nice. And we loved the Panda experience in Chengdu. It became the highlight of the entire trip for our daughter specially. Another highlight for us was the great extent to
Customized Tibet & Nepal
Hi Arun … Just a note to let you know that Im back and the trip was wonderful!!!! We had a blast, the trip was perfect and it everything went without a hitch! Tenzin was amazing as always! Tibet was priceless! Kripa… love him! Nepal was great! Thank you honey for all your help! We all are already planning to go back and do Mt. Kailash in 2017. Talk to you soon… and much love,
Paro Festival, Bhutan and extension India
Dear Arun, We thought it might be a good idea to check in with you, now that we’re back from our trip. We are still many hours out of sync and a little jetlagged, but thought we should communicate while it is still fresh in our minds. All in all, it was a most worthwhile trip and we are very glad we did it. Perhaps we should divide our comments into two sections: the Bhutan part and the India part, and give you our comments together and as individuals where they differ. Marina is writing this first and John will add
Hi Arun My wife and I had a wonderful time in your country and the trip to Chitwan abd elephant safari, Everest flight, Kathmandu and surrounding area city tour with the stay in Dwarikas was exquisite. We are already thinking of when next we should go back to Nepal and visit other areas of nepal. Warm regards
Customized Nepal & Tibet
The trip was amazing. We were very pleased with all aspects of the trip. The rooms were good. Kripa, Tenzin and Tulip were wonderful guides. The rafting was top notch. Thank you for your knowledge and experience in organizing the trip. We would use Third Eye again and recommend it to our friends. Warm Regards
A Remarkable & Enjoyable Journey
Dear Arun, Jim and I just returned from our 14-day tour to Burma (Myanmar) & Laos with the Plain of Jars, which was a remarkable and enjoyable journey. We had 6 guides and 6 drivers and your logistics were amazing. All pick-ups and pass-offs in each location worked flawlessly, and all guides and drivers were extremely punctual. The hotels more than met our expectations and some, such as the Lao Plaza Hotel, were luxurious. Since my husband and I were the only two people on this tour, we particularly enjoyed our guides taking us to additional places that were not
One of our best trips to Asia
Hi Arun, I want to thank you for arranging such a terrific trip for us. All of the guides were so gracious and had expertise about their part of the country. They each brought something special to their part of our journey. They were all very kind. Overall, the trip was one of our best trips to Asia.We are thinking about going on the Bhutan trip next year. What is the best time to go?Thanks again for all your help. Doree and John.
Bhutan & Nepal
Dear Arun -- We had a grand trip and everything worked out well. Our hotels were just perfect, and our guides enormously helpful. We did find, however, that the bumpy mountain roads were difficult for my husband's bad back, so we changed the itinerary to avoid long drives. Both Sonam in Bhutan and Kripa in Nepal were very flexible about changing the arrangements, and we greatly appreciate their willingness to help us with the changes. We were very happy with the service we received from you as well as local suppliers. By the way, Kripa mentioned that you were long-time friends
A wonderful experience.
Dear Arun and Mr Karma, I just wanted to write and express commendation of our tour guide Sonam and driver Laxman. Laxman drove safely and expertly throughout, and was courteous and helpful at all times. Sonam was outstanding, regularly going well above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that we had the best possible trip. His knowledge, attention to detail, and constant willingness (and insistence!) to tend to our needs was better than any tour guide I've previously had. They should both be commended for their efforts, and I thank you both for a wonderful experience here in beautiful
India & Nepal
Arun, Wanted to let you know that Lindsey and I had a great time in Nepal and India. I was very pleased with the guides who were provided. Mr. Singh (Delhi) was a very good guide. Gopal Sharma in Agra was even better—he was terrific. Vishnu Sharma in Jaipur was even better than Gopal; Vishnu was the best of the three. The car and driver in India were better than I expected. They really helped get us around quickly and easily. It was worth paying a premium to get them. The Kantipur Temple House in Kathmandu was great. We really liked
A journey without a hitch
Once again you have done and amazing job organizing and preparing us for this adventure. 4 plans, a 24 hour train ride,11 hotels and 4 country borders to cross, visa, permits, numerous guides, drivers. Not one problem. We are world wide travelers, often doing individualized itineraries. We have never been disappointed with anything Third Eye travel counselors Arun or Usha have arranged. It was so nice to be in their homeland as every person we meet along the way spoke highly of Arun and Usha and had worked with them for several years. It was a lifetime dream completed and we
Tibet, Nepal & Bhutan
Dear Arun, The trip was very successful and it was very enjoyable. TIBET: - Tenzin, out Tibet tour guide, was one of the best guides we have ever had. The driver, Tenzin, was also very good. All of the Tibet tours were very interesting and enjoyable. - The Snow Leopard Guest House was very basic, as you warned us, and we realized that it was necessary to travel overland from Tibet to Nepal. Thank you for warning us about this in the information you provided. NEPAL: - The Hotel Heritage in Bhaktapur was fantastic and provided optimum accommodations, hospitality, service and
Hi Arun, We got back on June 23. Had a wonderful trip. Everything that you arranged for us was terrific. The agency in Vietnam was so helpful in getting us here and there- they even helped shlep our luggage through the train station, and made sure we were in good time. Really nice to have transport between train stations and hotels prearranged. Highlights for us were: Halong Bay cruise- the Indochina Junk boat "Red Dragon" was super. Food awesome, accommodations gorgeous, guide really fun (although quirkiest sense of humor- took us a while to "get" him). As it was low season,
My wife and I recently completed our 3rd trip with Third Eye Travel, this time to the northern Himalayan region of India. We feel like we were cared for by family every step of the way. Our custom trip took us to Delhi, Amritsar, Dharamsala and Shimla, with 5 days overland through Himachal Pradesh, and a final 6 nights in Ladakh. The local office in Delhi was in contact with our driver throughout our trip, checking to make sure all was well and that we were doing OK. When 2 different road closures forced changes in our itinerary, someone was always
Delightful travel experience
Hi Arun, The trip was just great. Everything went pretty much as planned. The tour guides and Barbara all did a very good job. One comment, it would have been much better to have stayed in Paro, itself instead of out in the country. All in all it was a very delightful travel experience and I would definitely travel with third eye travel again in the future. Aloha,
Rugged at times.
Trip to China, Tibet, Napal, Bhutan was rugged at times, but excellent overall. Need to expose tourist to more of a variety of cultural sites. Less Monasteries and Temples. We were a bit overloaded with them on this trip. Guides were informative and personable. Need to reconsider the Snow Leopard Lodge in Tingri, Tibet. We had a very memorable and enjoyable trip.
Got along very well.
Arun, The Three Himalayan Kingdoms trip was fantastic! Not only was each country amazing, but the planning, schedule, itineraries and accommodations were great. Actually, I was a bit surprised at how good the accommodations were. I was expecting a bit more rustic than what most of the places were. The group of 10 was an ideal size to travel with, and we all got along very well with each other. The guides we had were very knowledgeable and informative, but if I were to look for something to criticize, it would be our Tibetan guide's English. I think the knowledge he had
Hey Arun - We are back at home and back into the routine. We had a great trip. We learned loads and left feeling like we had a pretty good view of Beijing, Xian and Shanghai. Our guides and drivers were really enjoyable and extremely accommodating. We were both very pleased with the trip. Thanks for putting it together so quickly for us. I always appreciate your help. Trip: Customized China
We four in the family visited China (four Cities} It was fantastic experience. Learn some words or show in Chinese script written by Guide. like fork, spoon, knife, larger plate, chicken, fish, napkins etc. Nearly all do not understand English.
The quality of transportation and guideds were excellent.
Our private trip to India was a great delight. the itinerary was well planned. The quality of transportation and guides were excellent. The only hotel we did not wish to go back is the Transit Hotel in Mumbai. The guide at Agra was so good we will recommend to anyone. He is a PhD of Antient Archetecture. His knowledge, humor and pacing were far superior to any guides we encouter. Trip: Customized India
Responsive & communicates quickly & clearly.
We have used Third Eye for travel arrangements to Nepal in the past. We found The Highlights of Myanmar Tour to very much meet our needs. We greatly appreciated the flexibility that Third Eye has with respect to making modifications to the itinerary. Also, Third Eye is very responsive and communicates very quickly and clearly with respect to the Tour and the various aspects of the Tour.
Rode the tuk-tuk,(they were on my bucket list)
Hi Arun, Well we are back from a great adventure to SE Asia. It went very smoothly for us; we were met when we were supposed to be met, the guides were great,etc....we stayed in some great hotels, we experienced some great adventures, rode the tuk-tuks,(they were on my bucket list),visited some markets; in all it was a great trip for us. Thanks for making all the arrangements for us. Trip: Customized Thailand & Cambodia Sincerely,
Dear Third Eye Travel, The trip was rich and wonderful. The part of it you were involved in all worked out well. The drivers and the guides were all terrific, helping us get places but also helping us navigate through airports and getting our luggage. They took great care of us. All of the arrangements worked out and we had a an amazing time. I'm happy to talk if you'd like more information.
We had a wonderful trip. What a range of beautiful sites with Himalayan mountains is view in so many area of the country. The Mountains at Nargarkot, to the jungle, to Lumbini the birhplace of Buhdda and back to Kathmandu. Great food, great tour guides and transportation was godd fun and interesting.
We throughly enjoyed this trip. All the guides did an excellent job. I knew we'd see a lot of temples and I thought I might get tired of them but each one was unique and interesting. Inle Lake was my favorite spot. We ended up seeing Aung San Suii Kyi in person and that was a once in a life memory. The weather was beautiful the last week in November and the first week in December. There is something authentic about this country because of the lack of outside influences. We received a warm welcome from everyone we met.
Jambay Lakhang Festival, Bhutan
Hi Arun, Have arrived home safely and just wanted to thank you for arranging a great trip. Bhutan is an amazing place with wonderful people and we had a great time. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and he and our driver took very good care of us. They helped make the experience even richer for us. I appreciate all you did to make it happen and look forward to another trip with you in the future. Thanks again for all your hard work. Sincerely,
Third Eye Travel took care of 2 parts of our October-November India-Nepal 2012 trip. First they worked with 21 Habitat for Humanity team members and coordinated flight arrangements so that with many individual itinerary variations we all could mesh in Nepal for our 2 week Habitat build. They answered countless questions, provided important background information, and seamlessly ticketed all to coordinate nicely in Nepal. My husband and I travel a lot and we always book our own tips, but going to this part of the world is much more complicated and the help of Third Eye Travel was invaluable. The second
Druk Air outstanding
We had a very good trip. The local operator....guide and driver....were excellent. The most interesting surprise was Druk Air. Outstanding! They left early....better than on time. Really good service. Thanks for your help
Third Eye is amazing
Third Eye Travel triumphs again! Working through Arun Dali my wife and I were able to make our life-long dream of visiting Tibet become a reality. It is such a stunningly beautiful place that our photographs don't look real. Arun kept in contact with us during 8 months of planning and even sent us emails while we were on another trip with a different company in Mongolia. We weren't sure we would be allowed to enter Tibet since we were only a party of 2, but Arun worked his magic. Our Tibet permit was waiting for us in Beijing when we
A great time
Hi Arun ! I have been meaning to contact you. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING!!! Excuse me for the all caps but I didn't know how else to show you how much we enjoyed everything you set us up with. Everywhere and every place we stayed were wonderful. All the tours were amazing. We just had a great time. We couldn't have done it without you. Thank you again so much for everything! We really want to do the 7 day trek someday with Kreper (sorry, I know I am spelling his name wrong). It sounds so much fun! Trip:
Fun & Memorable
Hello Arun, I apologies for delay in response. Coming back from the trip, work, another trip I took made me very busy. The trip was very enjoyable, fun and memorable. I can't thank you enough for all the efforts you put into. Guides in each locations were very, very nice. We all enjoyed their guidance and help. They were very knowledgeable, nice and helpful in a lot of ways. They made the trip lot easier.
Complicated Trip to plan and execute
My husband and I just got back from a 34 day Trip to Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, and Myanmar. It was a complicated trip to plan and execute. Arun Dali, my husband and I worked for a year on this trip, entailing too many e-mails to count. We couldn't have worked with a nicer person. He always provided a response within 24 hours and took care of everything as I instructed. My husband and I had much input since we researched this trip extensively and even with that, there were things we would have changed. These kinds of trips are too complicated
Guides & drivers were exceptional
Dear Arun, Thank you very much for your help in booking travel arrangements for my daughter and I to Vietnam & Cambodia. We had a fantastic trip. It exceeded our expections in terms of service, accommodation and meals. The itinerary you put together matched our interestes exactly. The guides and drivers were exceptional. Their expertise and loal knowledge added greatly to the enjoyment of our trip. They were personal, helpful and always punctual. I could not ask for more value for what we spent on our trip. This trip will be something we will treasure all of our lives. Thanks again
Professional, caring & knowledgeable
We used Third Eye Travel about 18 years ago when we traveled to Tibet. So we knew about your services for travel to that part of the world. We liked that our driver and local guides were professional, caring and knowledgeable. The local agency in India is very good, and it is apparent that they are organized and know how to make a tourist feel welcome,in Kathmandu as well provided excellend services. Trip: India & Nepal 2012
Probably the best overseas travel
I wanted to put you all into one email thanking all of you for your efforts in making our trip to India and Bhutan probably the best overseas travel experience my wife and I have ever had. Our drivers and guides in Delhi were great and we got to explore much of the city. Manoj Rana went out of his way to check on how long we could keep our hotel room the night of our departure from Delhi. All the staff at the Metropolitan Hotel were helpful and friendly.Mr. Badoni responded immediately when I called with a question about our
A Memorable Experience
Arun, ] We returned late Saturday afternoon and had a fabulous time, thanks to you. Our accommodations were good, the guide in Bhutan was wonderful and all went smoothly. I thank you for the professional, efficient manner in which you planned this 3 weeks, a memorable experience. Looking forward to working with you again. Tibet, Annapurna, Khumbu Traverse
Bookign the trip was so easy. I just told Arun what all I wanted to do and he put together the perfect itinerary. It could not have been easier or more enjoyable. Services: it's not possible for me to pinpoint one service that was better than the rest. My entire experience with Third Eye Travel was superior to any other I've had. I had one unexpected mishap on my trip, and Arun handled it immediately making sure that I didn't miss any of the trip. They are top of the pile. I will absolutely recommend Third Eye Travel to friends. I
Good Value for money, all connections smooth, great locatation of the hotels, well organized. Local guides were good, but Tibet's guide's English somewhat difficult but she was otherwise good. Booking was easy, good value for money.
Dear Arun, My trip to Lhasa and EBC was absolutely amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip. Thank you so much for such a wonderful professional arrangement. Both the guide and the driver were the best and I felt safe with them all the way to the border. Thank you and Best Wishes,

Boat trip in Ha Long Bay
Hi Arun, We wanted to let you know the boat trip in ha long bay was wondrful although the weather was quite cool. Still has a great time and duc was excellent. The whole sailing experience was perfect and the children had a great time. Thanks again. Trip : Customized Northern Part of Vietnam
1. Duc, The guide on Indochian junk was excellent: warm personality, good English, enthusiatic, fun. We were throughly impressed with Indochina Junk Co.. Everything about the tour was excellent, food, accommodation, warm, enthusiastic guide & crew that aimed to please . Apprecated their having PFD's (life vests) for Kayaks,. Weather was cool/cold and gray, but they made the things fun anyway. The food sculpture they created for our last meal wre fantastic. Everything was filled with too much delicuous food. 2. Mr. Linn, in Hanoi was good. English not as good, but still pleasant. 3. Mr. Thinh, in Lao Cai/Sapa had
Couldn't have asked for anything more
Dear Arun We received your thank you note yesterday, and it reminded me that I wanted to let you know about how things went, especially in India, because we never filled out a form there - got lost in the shuffle I think. The travel agency there was fabulous, and we would recommend them to anyone: they were on time, flexible, easy, good drivers and guides - we couldn't have asked for anything more! We enjoyed every place we stayed and the food was excellent. Thanks so much for your part in arranging things, jill and rick
Third Eye Travel Handled Everything
As posted on YELP Never has a trip been more complicated than the one we took to Bhutan this winter -- and Arun Dali and Third Eye Travel handled everything with good humor and great caring. We were two families going to visit our sons who had been working in the Kingdom of Bhutan. We had to change our trip THREE times -- twice because of a family emergency and then because of a lengthy international flight delay. The other family got stuck for 3 days at Heathrow on their way to Asia. Endless texts/phone calls/emails for all these plan changes,
People of Myanmar very friendly and accommodating
Dear Arun, Third Eye Travel organized a trip to Myanmar for my husband and me in December 2010. We loved the country and found the people to be very friendly and accommodating. It is a beautiful country with much to see. We would like to go back again. Our hotels were lovely, and the service excellent. The food is very good, and there is a much variety. Most menus include Indian, Thai, and Chinese food as well as local specialties. We enjoyed the itinerary very much. We saw the major cities including Yangon, Mandalay, and Bagan, and were especially impressed with
Great Value & Memorable Experience
Dear Arun, Happy Thanksgiving as well. Yes all went well and accommodations were centrally located and nice, although in a “do over” I’d perhaps pick a different hotel in Phnom Penh. It just had too much of a business feel, but was certainly more than tolerable for an overnight. I believe if I had 3 more days the trip to the same locations would have enabled a bit more leisure time, but you did a nice job with the time I gave you to work in. I asked for, and received a couple of complimentary room upgrades along the way, most
Dear Usha and Arun: This is to express our deep appreciation and thanks for the excellent program you designed for us for our recent tour of South India. Everything went as planned, without the slightest hitch, right from our check-in at the Los Angeles International airport. Your network functioned smoothly. We were met and helped and taken around by very helpful, knowledgeable and courteous agents. The car drivers were very punctual and skillful. It will be our pleasure to recommend your travel agency to all our friends. We look forward to doing more business in future . Meanwhile we wish you
Best trip ever
Wow, This was the most amazing, awesome, special trip, trully a trip of a life time. Hotels, brekfasts, guides, vehicles, & transfers were great. The hotels were unbelievaly great. Except Mandalay Swan. Perhaps we were totally spoiled with teh other wonderful hotels. But Mandalay Swan was disappointing. Our information said it was a 3-4 star hotel. It should be a 2-3 star motel ?? Technically, it is a motel. All room doors opened to the outdoors........not an indoor hallway. The drapers were rages and did not properly close. The T.V. was a small 12". However, it was clean with great hotel
Hotel - Residence of the 11th Dalai Lama
Dear Arun, The trip to Lhasa was perfect. Everything happened as planned, no problems whatsoever. I really liked the Hotel, The Heritage (but locally is called Yabshi Pukhang, nobody knows the Heritage). It is located in the residence of the 11th Dalai Lama, which was completely rundown and it took three years to remodel in the shape it is today. My guide was fantastic, Tenzin Gyaltsen: I couldn’t hope for a better guide. On the whole I had a perfect trip, thanks Trip: Tibet Customized Tour
Our Hats are off to these drivers
Dear Arun, Kudos to Third Eye Travel for a trip well organized and coordinated! My friend Lynn who has traveled extensively says that is the way trips should go, but he and I also know that there are any number of things that can go wrong. I was amazed that you were able to deal with four different travel agencies and yet everything, from our view, seemed to happen seamlessly. The trip I refer to is our trip through Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, Darjeeling, India, and Sikkim. All guides and drivers were excellent even though some didn’t have the experience that others
A few Suggestions
It was a wonderful trip. Thank you for arranging it. Here are a few suggestions I have. 1. Ask customers if they require smoking or none smoking accommodation and book accordingly. 2. In Pokhara I think a hike to the Peace Pagoda should be part of the trip. 3. Spend far more time in Bhaktapur. This was a great city, we would have loved to have spent the day there or even stayed there overnight. Overall the trip was excellent. Best regards,
Nothing But Positive Things to Say
Dear Arun, I wanted to give you my feedback on the trip which you arranged. I knew, considering the distance, the terrain of the countries (Tibet and Nepal) etc., that it would be a more difficult trip than most that I have taken. However, it was one that I have wanted to take for a long time. I found that the arrangements that you made, travel, hotels, guides, itinerary, etc., to be excellent. I was surprised that a tour could be set up where people were coming and going to and from the group at different times, yet each individual’s schedule
An unexpected, but very much appreciated gesture
Arun: The trip was superb. Everything was perfect. I was particularly impressed that the tour company had already rearranged our program so that we could tour Saigon, despite our plane being delayed. That was an unexpected, but very much appreciated gesture. I know how difficult it must be to arrange everything, but you did a wonderful job. We certainly intend to have you help us again. My father has already spoken with Usha about a trip with me to Mysore. His health took a slight setback recently. I hope he will still be able to travel with me there. I will
Everest Base Camp was our long-standing dream
Dear Arun, It is with many thanks that I write to you and thank you for arranging our trip to Tibet and mainland China. To travel to Everest Base Camp was our long-standing dream, and we are so greateful to you and our guide , Samdup Gyal and driver Choeden for making it come true! We can not say enough good things about the Tibet portion of our 19-day adventure. From the moment we were met at Chengdu International Airport by Mr. Fu, we knew we were in good hands. We would like to compliment this gentleman most highly. On the
A Glimpse of Nepal
As the fortunate winner of the Grand Prize at last Year's Berkeley Himalayan Fair, I can only say Thank you for an incredible experience. My travel companion and I chose to upgrade the trip and extend it to 11 days and we were so pleased with the resulting trip. Our guides in Kathmandu-Kripa Sheshreth and in Pokhara, Lopsang Sherpa, were so wonderful, always answering our endless questions and sharing their deep knowledge of their beautiful country. The drivers for out journeys were excellent also. We were truly treated to the best Nepal has to offer and will surely return as my
BEST vacation trip ever.
We are home from the BEST vacation trip ever to Vietnam and Cambodia. My husband was thoroughly impressed with your services. He had never been on an adventure with Third Eye travel before, but he had often heard me tell others about my Trip to India with Third Eye. Now he is a believer. Every detail went off exactly as planned. We were met at the airport by courteous guides and experienced drivers with new ,clean, air-conditioned vehicles. We especially liked Hoang Manh Duong in Hanoi Office. He made us feel at ease and was very laid back and open about
Booking the trip was effortless. A special thanks to Arun Dali. He answered all of our questions promptly and is very patient as the trip was our honeymoon and we had many many questions. Even after we booked the trip we revised some aspects of it and Arun helped us immediately. We cannot say thanks enough as Arun took care of everything from the hotels, flights, tours, transfers, etc. The amount of choices Arun provided is what really made us happy as he found choices that fit our style and cost. As for the trip itself, we had a wonderful time.
Organised and Efficient
Andre Mueller was exceptional, way above excellent. He was flexible, personable & went out of his way to meet our needs, requests. I would recommend the Third Eye Team to anyone. They were extreamly organized, efficient and chose our itinerary with great care - perfect. The hotel chosen were great, more than great !
Guide & Driver were Excellent
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and feel the local guide and driver were excellent and made the adventure very comfortable. The hotels and food were acceptable. The international flights and transfers were acceptable. To sum up the experience I would give the tour an "A" and feel we had a wonderful time.
North India- Enjoyed the time
The highlight of the service was Mr. P. Badoni in Delhi. We never had to worry. He provided with door-to-door local agents and guides. We had the same driver Anand, the entire trip. Anand clearly cared about our well-being and responded to our every need, including medication attention. One member of our party of three was older (75 Years) and all the agents and guides were sensitive to his special needs. Mr. Badoni provided us with a cell phone and we were always able to reach him. We especially enjoyed the time at Ken River Lodge. After the chaos of Delhi,
Gangkar Puensum Trek, Bhutan
I had a wonderful trip in all aspects, The trek was outstanding. Thanks to every member of the crew - cook, cook's assistant, and houseman who worked very hard to make it so.
Trip turned out very well.
Dear Arun, Our Trip to India turned out very well. Everything went according to plan and everyone had a good time. Here is the picture of us in front of the Taj Mahal. From left to right it Marcha, Rachel, Cynthia and I. Someday Iwould like to take another trip to India and go trekking in the Himalayas. Thanks for all your help. Sincerely,
My wife, Elizabeth Loeb, and I recently had the pleasure of using your services in Bhutan and I wanted to let you know how pleased we are. Your Tschering Pem is an unsuually competent guide. Perhaps what distinguishes her was her comprehensive awarness of our culture as she shared her culture with us. Her attention to small details was also remarkable. What I am trying to say is Mrs. Pem really took care of us and helped us get a sense of the beauty of Bhutan and the Bhutanese people. she seemed to be intuitively aware of our needs and wishes
Independent Travel Trip
My travel companion and I were so pleased with the independent travel trip in Bhutan that you arranged for us. I'd like to reocmmend the trip to anyone who is interested in a safe, comfortable, but highly unusual journey. Bhutan truely is a beautiful, peaceful little kingdom, filled with interesteing sights and friendly, gracious people. We travelled for 12 days in a brand-new van driven by a cheerful and extremely good driver. ( You have to be good on the challenging mountain highway that takes you through the heart of the country !) We stayed in five differenet hotels of charming
Tibet is great contrast to Bhutan
I wanted to tell you what a good time we had on our trip last fall. Bhutan is such a baeutiful country with all the trees, wide glacial valleys and rivers. The people in Bhutan are so friendly and natural. The Thimpu Festival was so colorful. I enjoyed sitting on the ground with all the Bhutanese people packed around me. The festival in Bumthan was much more rural but we were realy up close to the dancers. We had such asn excellent guide, Tschtem, who really took good care of our every need. Our driver was superb sonsidering all the rain
Bhutan is indeed a world apart
It has been three months since our trip to Bhutan but its magic has not faded. We chose Bhutan on the spur of the moment and are ever-so-grateful we did. We will never forget the beauty of the mountains, the magic of its culture, teh warmth (and literacy !) of its people , the charm of teh national dress and architecture. Bhutan is indeed a world apart, and a world that inspires with its peacefulness and its ability to stay true to its own principles and outlook. We felt fortunate indeed to be in the good hands of Third Eye Travel.
Not tip, tip, tip
I'm back and I wanted to tell you that all the international travel went very well. I enjoyed the hotel in Bangkok and I got around pretty well from there. The travel agent local in Bangkok was very high quality--always on time, polite and not even suggesting tip, tip, tip like so many people do--It's nice to exercise the freedom to simply give a tip! Thanks again and I will certainly continue to recommend your services to my other travelling yogi friends.
Just wanted to thank you again for your help in arranging our trip to Tibet. My wife and I had a wonderful time, and the entire trip was extremely well planned and organized. Everyone involved in the organization of the trip, including Arun and Birendra in Nepal, and Penpa and Jemi in Tibet, was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We were especially impressed with our guide, Penpa, and our driver, Jeme. They both are very knowledgeable, considerate and conscientious, and helped to make our experience as fantastic and enjoyable as it could possibly have been. I would highly recommend them, and
Tibet, Nepal & Bhutan
We took a 3-week tour of Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan, April 17-May 7,'95, arranged by Usha Lama of Third Eye Travel. Usha is a knowledgeable and very competent provider of services in these remote nations. She arranged excellent accommodations at the Hotel Mountain in Kathmandu, the land journey from Lhasa back to Kathmandu and a wonderful 6-day tour of Bhutan. She arranged all this at a very reasonable price. From the West Coast, we paid a total of $4,335 per person. This included a flight from Kathmandu over the Himalayas to Lhasa, Tibet; form Kathmandu to Paro, Bhutan, and from Paro
Hike was great, Wonderful Experience
Just wanted to let you know that Morgan and I had a wonderful trip. We enjoyed Nepal. Your guide, Kripa was a real pro and a font of information. The drivers were great and safely navigated an insane traffic situation. Nepal is such a geographically beautiful country. It's heartbreaking that it is so messed up politically. Unfortunately, the pollution (air and garbage) marred the beauty of Kathmandu and the trip to and from Chitwan (unbelievable constant string of black cloud belching diesel trucks). The several hours of breathing this was sickening. I think I would recommend flying in the future. It
The hotel in Lhasa was really nice. The staff was great and so was the food. We are now back in Kathmandu. It's pouring rain, so we are using the internet cafe here at the Hyatt. This hotel is gorgeous. We have been having a fantastic time! Thanks for setting us up with such a wonderful vacation. Our guides have been unbelievable. Kripa here in Kathmandu is wonderful. Wang Du in Tibet was outstanding. He went above and beyond in every way. His driver, Pasang La, got us everywhere safely and stress free. I can't say enough good things about how
Local Associates were excellent
Arun, Sonam. Thanks so much for everything. We had a GREAT trip and your local associates were excellent, on time and communicative about any problems. Kripa was especially helpful to us with everything from arranging a van with seat belts, to helping Kunga and Rinpoche change their train tickets from Dehli to Hubli and making all the airport connections work perfectly. I really appreciated your prompt replies to my e-mail inquiries, too. The only reason I ranked the hotels very good instead of excellent is no fault of yours. Poor Nepal with all the challenges that they face with the government
Wonderful Vacation & Great Experience
Arun --- Approximately three weeks ago our daughter, Bernadette Starszak, traveled to Peru with assist from Third Eye Travel. She traveled alone and, needless to say , her father and I were quite concerned about her safety. She says that you and your company went out of your way to see that all arrangements were made with her care in mind and that someone was available to drive her to any destination at any time. Thank you so much! She has much confidence in your company and now we do, too! Bernadette had a wonderful vacation and a great experience. We
India & Nepal Customized Trip
We began researching our trip to India and Nepal in April, narrowing down the specific areas that we wanted to visit. We then contacted Third Eye Travel, Fremont, CA to help us put together a customized agenda. The trip included 18 nights'a accommodation with breakfast , a private car with driver and an English speaking guide, all transfers and airfare within India and Nepal. The total cost was $ 7,076.00 for both of us. (We arranged our own round-trip airfare San Francisco-Delhi). The people we encountered in India and Nepal were some of the nicest and friendliest we have met. Whenever
